About this time every December the Wisconsin Public Radio has its December Fund Raising campaign. This includes a mailing to WPR members across the entire state of Wisconsin. The cover photo for their 2011 mailing is my December 2011 Picture of the Month. Needless to say, I am honored and greatly pleased to have my photo grace the cover of their solicitation. If you are not on their mailing list and would like to contribute to their 2011 Fund Raising effort, go to www.wpr.org.
My Notecards are now available at Terry's Piggly Wiggly in Cross Plains.

JANUARY PHOTO
I caught up with Tin Man II in Le Marais (the marsh) district of Paris; historically the city's Jewish ghetto and an area where market gardens were once cultivated. At the time I saw him, he was venting on the roof top of a building next to my hotel on Rue de Rivoli which is just around the corner from Rue Francois Miron, named in honor of one of my wife Mary's ancestors who served as the Paris harbor master in the 17th Century. Since Tin Man II was venting he didn't say anything, which is just as well since he probably speaks only French and I don't understand French. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the chance to meet and photograph the old guy.
Best wishes for a rewarding and prosperous 2012. |
